11th November 2018 will mark 100 years since the ceasefire, which has come to be recognised and remembered by many as end of World War 1. The event is being called Armistice 100 and various organisations from the towns and parishes of Yate, Dodington and Sodbury have been working alongside each other to pull events together that will remember the sacrifices made and to commemorate the 100 year anniversary.
