Work started to improve the long path from the kissing gate to the picnic field, and to deal with some nasty slippery mud patches in various other well-used places on the Nature Reserve.
Later on vegetation will be cut back to widen the Ride to its original size, and to deal with some other growth coming into the Upper Meadow. This will of course be done before the bird nesting season.
The works are being funded jointly by Dodington Parish Council and Wapley Bushes Conservation Group.
Apologies if you find that small parts of the Reserve are closed for a day or two, but it’ll all be worth it.
