Staying safe in our public open spaces

Following the latest guidance from the Government, from Wednesday 13th May you may do the following outdoors:

• spend time outdoors – e.g. picnics, sunbathing, sit and enjoy the fresh air

• meet one other person from a different household outdoors (following social distancing guidelines)

• exercise outdoors as often as you wish (following social distancing guidelines)

• use outdoor sports courts or facilities. In Dodington Parish, these are the QEII Multi-use Games Area, Lilliput Park basketball court and 5-a-side football pitch, and Woodchester basketball court/football area – with members of your household, or one other person while staying two metres apart.

You still cannot use an outdoor gym or playground, so these will remain taped off/closed for now.

At all times, you should continue to observe social distancing guidelines when you are outside your home, including ensuring you are two metres away from anyone outside your household.

The latest guidelines on social distancing have been updated by the Government (link below).
