Dodington Parish Council will be undertaking refurbishment works to the Council Chambers and office that is situated behind the Parish Hall on Finch Road.  Work is due to commence on 5th February, lasting up to 12 weeks.  The office will be set up temporarily in the Foxall Powell meeting room and all officers will be contactable either via their usual emails or by phoning 01454 866546.  We would ask you to bear with us, as officers will be hot desking or working from home.

The Council meetings will take place in the Foxall Powell Room as well.  These will still be on a Monday evening at 7:30pm.  The meeting schedule is on our noticeboards and here on our website: Meeting Schedule | Dodington PC

Our contractors will be working Monday to Friday between 8am – 6pm.  For safety and to allow for deliveries, the Parish Hall car park will be closed during these hours.

Regular hall users are aware of works (their sessions shouldn’t be impacted) and all hall bookings during this period are being honoured.

Works will include doubling the size of Council Chambers (which isn’t large enough when all councillors are present and is a squash for members of public that attend meetings).  Improved audio-visual equipment will be installed, plus we are looking to add equipment to allow for blended meetings to be facilitated with new furniture allowing for flexible use.  Once works are completed,  we will be able to hire the improved facility out to local groups and businesses.

The staff team has increased over the last few years, so we are also improving welfare facilities and providing more space for our staff.

We are also looking at improving the insulation within the building so that it can be more energy efficient and warmer in winter / cooler in summer.

If you need to come to offices during the day, please follow the signs to Foxall Powell Room (please be aware that parking may be tricky).  We thank you for your co-operation and look forward to sharing our new facilities with local community later this year.
